How it worksPricing

Cursive handwriting, properly taught

Real cursive.
Written the right way.

Children watch each letter being formed, trace it, then write it on their own. Skhillz Script™ follows the stroke, not the smudge, so it knows the difference between writing a letter and scribbling over one.

Four steps, every letter

  1. 1

    Watch

The pen forms the letter at writing speed, pausing only where the hand truly lifts.

  2. 2

    Trace

They follow the dotted line from the green dot. The letter fills in solid behind them, but only where they actually travelled.

  3. 3

    Write it three times

Three scored attempts with the guide faded almost away. Each one gets a specific note, never just a number.

  4. 4

    Earn it

An average of 70% across the three earns the letter, up to three stars. Below that, back to tracing. Nothing is given away.

What makes it different

It follows the route

Most tracing apps reward touching enough of the letter, so a child can scribble back and forth and score highly. Skhillz Script tracks progress along the stroke and checks the pencil is moving the way the letter is written. Scribbling earns nothing at all.

Taught by stroke family

Cursive a, b and c ask for three unrelated hand movements. Letters here are grouped by the motion they share, so each lesson drills one movement until it is automatic.

Certificates that mean something

One for every lesson finished and one for the whole alphabet. A certificate cannot be issued until every letter in the set has genuinely been earned, so it is worth putting on the wall.

What you get

A note from Skhillz Academy

I have spent 20-plus years working with young people, and cursive kept coming up as the thing that quietly got dropped. Not because it stopped mattering, but because a worksheet cannot tell a child that they started in the wrong place or went round the loop backwards.

That is the whole reason this exists. It watches how the letter is made, not just whether the page ends up covered in ink, and it says the one thing that would actually help next time.
